The Kingon P2-E7 is the highest-output model in Kingon's ultra-light range, delivering up to 1,400 ml/min — approximately equivalent to 7 LPM — across seven flow settings at 90% oxygen concentration (−3% / +6%). It also has the longest runtime of any Kingon concentrator: up to 7 hours on a single battery at setting 1, in the same 1.98kg chassis as the P2-E and P2-E6.

Seven Hours Is an Operational Specification

Battery duration is usually presented as a convenience. In a supported setting it is a staffing figure.

At setting 1 the P2-E7 runs for seven hours against the P2-E's five — a 40% improvement, and with two batteries supplied, enough to cover a full waking day without intervention. Where support is delivered on a scheduled visit basis, or where a client cannot reliably change a battery unaided, that is the difference between a device that requires a mid-day attendance and one that does not. It also removes the most common cause of a concentrator being found flat: nobody was there to swap it.

Output and Settings

Two things worth reading off that table. The P2-E7 holds its runtime advantage at the low settings most clients actually use. And all three models converge at roughly 1 hour 42 minutes per battery at their maximum — a higher model buys a higher ceiling, not a longer day at that ceiling.

Standardising a Fleet on One Model

Where a provider runs several concentrators, there is a case for specifying a single model across all of them rather than matching each device to its client. One model means one set of spares, one staff instruction sheet, one set of alert codes to learn, and devices that can be reallocated between clients without re-specifying.

If that is the approach, the P2-E7 is the model to standardise on, because its ceiling covers essentially any pulse dose prescription and its runtime is the longest in the range. The trade-off is unit cost against the P2-E, and it is only worth making at fleet scale — for a single client whose prescription sits comfortably within five settings, the P2-E remains the correct and cheaper specification.

Clinical Indications

Indicated for ambulant patients prescribed supplemental oxygen where the prescription is expressed as a pulse dose setting, including those at the upper end of the pulse dose range. Also indicated where extended time away from mains power is a requirement of the care plan rather than a preference.

Not suitable where continuous flow has been prescribed, where oxygen is required during sleep, or where the patient cannot tolerate a nasal cannula. Pulse delivery depends on detecting inspiration, which becomes unreliable as breathing grows shallow and irregular during sleep.

Service Life and Consumables

A battery replacement alert is raised at 500 charge cycles or when battery health falls below 50% — approximately 16 to 18 months at one charge per day. The sieve bed is modular and field-replaceable and alarms when replacement is due. Filters and cannulas are shared with the rest of the range and available through oxygen therapy accessories.

Warranty is three years standard, extending to five at no cost when the device is registered with Kingon within 14 days of purchase, with 12 months on the battery and sieve bed. Register at handover; the window is short.
