Choose the smallest syringe that holds the full dose, so the scale markings are easier to read accurately. All syringes here are single-use unless marked reusable, like the ENFit enteral syringe.

Important: never reuse or share single-use syringes or needles. Dispose of used needles and syringes straight into an approved sharps container, and don't recap needles by hand.

Syringe FAQs

What is the difference between luer lock and luer slip?

Luer lock syringes have a threaded collar that twists onto the needle or connector, so it can't slip off under pressure. Luer slip syringes have a plain tapered tip that the needle pushes onto — quicker to connect, but less secure.

Why are ENFit syringes purple?

ENFit is the international connector standard for enteral (tube) feeding. The ENFit tip only fits enteral devices, which helps prevent feeds or oral medicines being given into an IV line by mistake. See enteral feeding for feeding tubes and giving sets.
