They come in ready-to-hang 1000 mL packs for closed-system pump feeding. Each contains milk, soy and fish. Nutrison 800 Complete is not suitable for children under 6 and should be used with caution from 6 to 12 years.

Important — Medical supervision: Nutrison and Fortini are foods for special medical purposes. The choice of feed, volume and rate should be set by a dietitian or doctor. They are not for intravenous use. Handle feeds aseptically, store opened packs in the fridge, and discard them after 24 hours.

Fortini Multi Fibre for Children

Fortini Multi Fibre is a ready-to-drink, high-energy oral supplement for children aged 1 to 12 years. Each 200 mL bottle provides 300 kcal and 6.8 g protein, with the MF6 fibre blend. It is nutritionally complete and can be used as a supplement or, under medical supervision, as a sole source of nutrition. It comes in banana, chocolate, vanilla and unflavoured.

Flocare Tubes and Feeding Containers

Flocare PUR ENFit nasogastric tubes are transparent polyurethane tubes for short-term gastric feeding. They have radiopaque lines and centimetre markings to help confirm position. Their ENFit connectors are designed to prevent accidental connection to IV lines. The Flocare 500 mL container is used for feeds and fluids that aren't supplied in ready-to-hang packs. See also our Flocare and ENFit pages.

Tube position: Nutricia's instructions state that feeding through a nasogastric tube must only start once the tube position has been confirmed, by X-ray or by pH testing of the aspirate. Follow your facility's protocol.
