The Neo-Guard Infant Nasal CPAP Seal is a specialised neonatal solution designed to protect sensitive neonatal nasal and facial skin during respiratory therapies, effectively guarding neonatal septum from trauma and irritation caused by pressure & motion of prongs and masks. Adhesive strip for holding cannulae for infant CPAP therapy.

Sizing Guide

Selecting the correct size is essential for a proper seal. Sizes are based on the infant's approximate weight:

Application Instructions

  1. Preparation: Ensure the infant's nose is clean and dry. It is recommended to warm the Neo-Guard (e.g., inside an incubator) briefly before use to aid adhesion.
  2. Handling: Gently remove from packaging without stretching the hydrocolloid material, as it may recoil and pull on the skin.
  3. Placement: Line up the pre-cut holes with the infant's nares and gently smooth the "petals" over the sides of the nose.
  4. Securing: Insert the NCPAP prongs into the holes. Included hook and loop fastening strips can be wrapped around the CPAP tubing and attached to the Neo-Guard for additional security.

Warning:

  • Discontinue use if the patient is allergic to any components of the product
  • Avoid repeated applications on patients with thin or fragile skin that may result in skin damage
  • It is not recommended that the dressing be applied open and deep cavity wounds
  • Do not use with high-flow cannulas
