Choosing MoliCare by Style and Drops
MoliCare rates absorbency in drops. HARTMANN states that each drop level is a defined absorbency range measured in laboratory testing, and that more drops mean greater total fluid retention. Choose the style first, then the drop level.

Measure around the hips at the widest point. If someone falls between sizes, the smaller size usually gives a closer fit and better leakage protection. Too large a product is a common cause of leaks.
MoliCare Skin Care
Frequent contact with urine and faeces can break down the skin. MoliCare skin care is pH 5.5 to support the skin's natural acid mantle:
- Skin Cleansing Foam: no-rinse cleansing for faecal incontinence, with creatine and an odour neutraliser
- Skin Wash Lotion: mild wash with panthenol and almond oil, for use in a bowl or the shower
- Skin Barrier Cream: forms a clear protective film on irritated skin in the genital area. It is zinc-oxide free, so it does not reduce pad absorbency
- Skin Protection Foam: easy-spreading foam with panthenol and urea to support skin regeneration and moisture balance
Persistent skin breakdown: If redness, broken skin or a rash does not settle with good cleansing and a barrier product, ask a GP, continence nurse or wound care nurse to assess it.

What do the drops on MoliCare mean?
Drops show absorbency. More drops means more fluid capacity. For example, MoliCare Premium Mobile 10 drops is HARTMANN's highest-absorbency pull-up pant, for severe incontinence day and night.
What is the difference between MoliCare Mobile and Elastic?
Mobile is a pull-up pant worn like underwear, best for people who can stand and change themselves. Elastic is an all-in-one brief (often called an adult nappy) that opens fully with re-closable tapes, which makes carer-assisted and lying-down changes easier.
Can I use MoliCare barrier cream with incontinence pads?
Yes. MoliCare Skin Barrier Cream is zinc-oxide free and forms a thin transparent film, so it does not block the pad's absorbent surface the way thick zinc pastes can.
