The Urine Bags are used to collect and contain urine via an indwelling catheter or leg bag. The T-Tap end allows for ease of use to empty the Urine Bag and the clear incremental measurements allow for visual urine output.

Instruction for Use:

• Perform hand hygiene
• Remove bag from the packaging and check that the T-Tap at the distal end of the bag is closed
• Using aseptic technique, remove cap from the drainage tubing and connect directly into the funnel of the urinary catheter
• Ensure the connection is secure
• Hang the bag at or below the patient's bladder level

Precautions:

• Ensure the Urine Bag is never raised higher than the level of the bladder
• Ensure the Urine Bag tubing is free from kinks at all times when connected to the catheter
• At the completion of emptying the bag, check to ensure the T-Tap is completely closed
• Ensure aseptic technique is maintained when handling, connecting and disconnecting the Urine Bag from the urinary catheter

Cautions:

• DO NOT re-sterilise
• DO NOT use if packaging or product has been damaged or contaminated
• DO NOT store at extreme temperatures and humidity, avoid direct sunlight
