TRAKE-fit Tracheostomy Tube Holder is primarily used to secure placement of tracheostomy tubes for better management of patient airways.

The TRAKE-fit is intended to be used by medical professionals only (including physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and emergency medical staff); they may be used in both emergency situations or under controlled conditions where quick and simple stabilization and support are necessary. TRAKE-fit with narrow tabs will accommodate pediatric patients and the wide-tabbed TRAKE-fit should be used with larger patients and adults.

Suggested Use:

  • Place the neckband around the patient’s neck with the hook tabs facing out. Remove the tabs from the neckband
  • Insert the tabs, from the outside, through the slots in the flange of the tracheostomy tube so that the hook (rough) sides face the neckband
  • Attach the hook tabs at a location on the neckband that is comfortable for the patient. Excess length can be cut off. Gauze pads can be used in the usual way
  • For product 43-1850 and 43-1862, when the neckband becomes soiled, replace it with the extra one from the package

  • Unrelieved pressure may cause injury to the underlying tissues
  • Patient should be constantly monitored while this product is in use
